Alfonso Rao hails from a family of generations-old clinicians and dentists. You could say dentistry lives in the blood.
He graduated from the University of Chieti in native Italy with distinction in 2007 – the youngest of his year group, aged just 23.
Alfonso went on to work as an oral surgeon in Caserta, Napoli and Pescara until moving to the UK in 2009. He spent time working in practices in Lincoln, Bath and Cheltenham before making Bristol his permanent home.
It was here Alfonso purchased his Queen Square Clinic, which he quickly expanded into an award-winning multi-clinic group before adding the Delta Training Academy to his business portfolio.
Since graduation, Alfonso has continued training and professional development, completing a three-year Diploma in implant dentistry at London’s renowned Eastman Dental Institute and several international courses.
A skilled multidisciplinary cosmetic dentistry, Alfonso now focuses mainly on his two passions – implantology and Invisalign treatments.
He is a member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and Association of Dental Implantology, with whom he acts as a mentor in addition to his role as an educator with Delta Academy.
He is also a key opinion leader and brand ambassador for dental technology companies including Strauman, Geitlich, NSK and many more.
As part of an ongoing commitment to charitable causes, Alfonso has spent three months in Ethiopia improving dental access to underserved communities. He continues to contribute to good causes through the Queen Square Dental Clinic and Delta Academy.
